SERVING OUR COMMUNITY FOR OVER 20 YEARS

The Ferry Family (Len III, Karen, Len IV, Derak, and Courtney) started Alpine Transmission in the early 2000s.  Derak and Len IV, worked at numerous shops around Gaylord, until the family started their own. They eventually outgrew their shop located on M-32 where the Exclusive shop is currently and relocated to its current location on Otsego Ave (27 South).  Around 2017, a family friend bought the business, which became Alpine Auto Repair. Derak and his wife, Janise, opened Ferry Transmission and Service in Grayling, while Len IV and Courtney continued working at Alpine.

 

In 2021, Len IV, took a year break to start his business, Northern Michigan Auto Repair.  In May 2023, Len IV and Courtney purchased Alpine; they put the business back into the Ferry family. However, to honor their late mother, Gloria Ferry, they named the company after her maiden name Baer.
